The mission of the Center for Emerging Viruses (CEV) is to investigate the mechanisms of infection by emerging viruses and to develop diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic strategies against viral threats.
CEV was established at the University of Minnesota in 2020 in response to the devastating impact of COVID-19 on global health and the economy.
